BREAKTHROUGH SOLUTION FOR FARMERS AND VETERINARY
Equinity Vision
an intelligent system for horses safety surveillance, automatic alarm and foal prediction
About the system
Our solution is aimed at all horse owners and breeders, including mares, stallions, sport and recreational horses. The key functionalities of the product are:
Horse health monitoring in real-time
Foaling prediction
Early detection of reduced activity and changes in demanour
Possibility to implement the system in every circumstance
No need to place any extra devices on the horse
System
- The camera monitors the horse 24/7
- Artificial intelligence algorithms process the recordings and check: the level of activity, body position and other selected parameters, then analyze the data.
- Processed data is sent to the mobile application as notifications, eg. "Warning, horse is very anxious", "Respiratory rate is significantly increased " , " There is a 90% probability that foaling will start in 5 hours."

Mobile application
On mobile devices, the application offers:
- Add and edit a new horse
- Online video monitoring and recording 24/7
- Information about the expected time of foaling (for brood mares)
- Alerts when something disturbing happens, e.g.: colic detection, mechanical injury, impending foal

Research information
- mobility – the system registers how an individual moves. Whether it is moving quickly, slowly, violently or is still. The data is then compared with previous behavior and verified if there have been any changes.
- respiratory rate – our team was able to prepare algorithms that allow the system to observe the number of breaths per minute automatically using the camera image, without human intervention or the need to install additional sensors. The ability to detect changes in the number of breaths per minute provides valuable diagnostic information.
- animal posture – in addition to the above parameters, we can also detect whether the horse is standing or lying down. The above results, obtained continuously when the horse is in the stable, allow the system to build an accurate model of behavior, typical for that specific individual.

Kornelia Omyla, Med Vet, MRCVS
Founder and co-owner of Equinity Solutions; Kornelia is a specialist in Equine Diseases with many years of experience in the care and management of equine studs. In recent years, she has been dividing her time between Europe and Australia, which makes it possible to manage not one, but two equine breeding seasons during the year. She gained her experience working in many prestigious clinics and studs with Thoroughbreds (Ireland, England, Australia), Arabian horses (Saudi Arabia), Warmbloods , polo ponies and other breeds. Her professional passion is caring for pregnant mares and the intensive care of newborn foals.

Co-owner of Equinity Solutions and project manager. Wladyslaw completed a PhD at the Wrocław University of Technology in the field of Automation and Robotics. He is employed as an assistant professor at the Department of Acoustics, Multimedia and Signal Processing and as a member of the Robotics Committee. He has participated in scientific projects using Artifical Intelligence (AI) to recognize human speech and has experience in working with high performance computing systems. Since 2019, in partnership with Kornelia, he has been involved in researching the possibility of using AI on equine studs.
